Position: Production Assistant - Sewing

Location: Position is based in Milwaukie, OR

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Reports to: Sewing Department Lead

Purpose

Brewery Branding is the leading merchandise and promotional printing company for the craft brewing industry. We’re proud to offer tons of resources to help build brewers brands by providing in-house design, fulfillment, and on-line store management for our customers. We are looking for an organized motivated person to assist with production tasks in our sewing department.

Core Responsibilities

First things first…you must enjoy independent production work in a sewing shop and contribute to a team-based environment. The people we get to work with are the best and we expect nothing less from ourselves. This production assistant position is key in keeping the department efficient, organized, and running smoothly. This is an in-house position in a comfortable, clean, and modern environment. New equipment, efficient processes, and clear communication structure will be put into place to ensure a high level of success for the team.

Essential Job Duties Include

Accurately count and check into inventory:
- Blank goods
- Patch/label
- Other general department items

Maintain organization of sewing and other assigned work spaces

Daily completion of various department tasks to include:
- Pre-patching of garments
- folding/packing of finished goods
- And other various department task as needed and assigned by manager

Willing to learn the sewing process on our in house industrial sewing machines

Assisting with various garment tagging projects as needed

Ability to work accurately and quickly on all assigned task

Must be able to follow direction with great accuracy

Ability to operate at a fast pace while maintaining a high level of attention to detail

Capable of multitasking with flexibility to assist other departments as needed

Minimum Qualifications

Must have a great attitude

Be able to maintain a safe, organized, and clean workspace

Proficient in English for reading, writing, and understanding verbal and written directions

Entry level proficiency in Microsoft Office products is a must

Be able to efficiently organize personal work flow for maximum output

Have a high attention to detail

Previous experience in sewing or a position that requires fast paced / high volume work is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role has no direct supervised positions to manage

Work Environment

Due to the nature of the work, this position must report to the warehouse location in Milwaukie to perform duties. Applicants must be able to work an 8 hour shift Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 4:30pm as needed/directed

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift boxes of up to 40 lbs. The employee must be comfortable with sitting at a sewing station or office chair for extended periods of time and working with their hands and feet.

Compensation

Brewery Branding offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, rewarding work environment and growth for committed professionals. 

Starting wage for this position is $16/hr with a 90-day review

Position is fulltime
