Position: Bookkeeper

Location: Position is based in Portland, OR

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Reports to: Controller

Brewery Branding is the leading merchandise and promotional printing company for the craft brewing industry. Additionally, we provide resources that build brewers brands by providing in-house design, fulfillment, and on-line store management for our clients. This position will work closely with the Controller to ensure accurate and timely financial information is supplied internally as well as with our customers and suppliers.

Core Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the day-to-day data entry of all accounting related materials. This individual will need to have a high attention to detail with the ability to process high volumes of data. The ability to work both independently and as a team is a must.

Specific Duties Include

Entering, reconciling and paying vendor invoices

Creating and sending customer invoices and statements

Taking and recording customer order deposits

Coding vendor invoices across multiple departments and GL accounts

Data Entry for various projects

Ordering office supplies

Timekeeping and payroll reporting

Filing

Special projects as needed

Candidate Qualifications

Collaboration – regularly works with other departments

Demonstrates leadership with the ability to influence a positive workplace

Ability to interact effectively in one-on-one situations with co-workers and customers

Delivers results – getting things done on time and accurately

Strong organizational skills

Strong written and oral communication skills

Multi-tasking and time management skills to organize workflow

Must have solid typing skills and in-depth experience using Word and Outlook/gmail email

Active with presenting new ideas on how to track and achieve department and company goals

High Attention to detail and accuracy

Familiarity with wide range of financial transactions including AP and AR

Ability to work independently as well as in group setting

Has the ability to answer every challenge with a “Yes, I can solve that” attitude

Educational and Experience Expectations

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

Previous work experience in accounting

Excellent data entry skills

SAP accounting software experience is preferred

Supervisory Responsibility

This role has no direct supervised positions and works closely with outsourced HR and Insurance firms.

Work Environment

Due to the nature of the work, this position reports to the office daily located at 5841 SE International Way Portland, OR

Education

Bachelors degree preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to work at a computer workstation for long periods of time. The need to travel is very low.
